More Information About the Colt 1877 Thunderer .41 cal. Revolver Grips; Colt's first double action revolver. Made 1878 - 1905. The Colt 1877 DA Revolver was made in three calibers, the .38 LC & SC became known as the Lightning, the .41 LC became known as the Thunderer but the lesser known revolver made in the .32 LC & SC was a limited production run and less than 250 were manufactured between 1887 and 1906 and the .32 caliber version was officially called the "Rainmaker". Mounting screws for our items are not included. However, we have screws for most of our items and, if ordered, we will send the appropriate screws. If we do not have the appropriate screw(s), we will remove the cost from the order; or, if we are not familiar with the proper screws for the item ordered, we will contact you." Note: Oftentimes, the existing escutcheons have fused to the old grips and cannot be successfully removed to be reused with the new grips.
